PCC invites middle and high school students to participate in free, hands-on summer activities to help them learn about various programs of study and career options.

Those participating will discover the world of welding, health sciences, cosmetology, animation, e-sports, agribusiness, mechatronics, criminal justice, and more, through interactive experiences!


This summer, PCC will offer the following FREE camps:

Summer Workshop in Mathematics (SWIM)

For campers looking for PCC math preparation for the fall semester, this camp is it! Join us for an engaging, interactive, one-week summer math camp that dives into MAT 143 -Quantitative Literacy, MAT 152 -Statistical Methods I, or MAT 171 -Precalculus Algebra. Breakfast and snacks will be provided each day.

Welding Camp

Campers will gain hands-on welding experience while learning the difference between a MIG and a TIG weld. PCC’s instructor will also review terminology and equipment safety.

Animation and Game Creation Camp

Anyone interested in animation and game creation, then this is the camp for you! Join us this summer for a crash course in how games are made, the different skills and abilities used in the gaming and animation industry, and creating a playable game, demo, or animation by the end of camp.

Pacer E-Sports Experience

For campers interested in E-sports, PCC has an experience for you! Join us for a special 4-day event where you can participate in a 2-day, round robin E-sports tournament and talk to game developers and players to learn about the e-sports industry.

Agribusiness Technology

In this camp, you will learn about plant and animal science! This is your chance to participate in classroom and field instruction. Learn current trends in agriculture, visit local farms, and review the variety of agricultural opportunities within the region to gain perspectives on its importance to our community.

Vet Career Camps

This camp is for animal lovers (farm and domestic). Campers will learn about the academic, financial, and emotional paths of veterinary school, as well as exploring multiple career paths in the veterinary industry.

The Wonderful World of Beauty

Explore the world of cosmetology! Campers will be introduced to all facets of the beauty industry. Dive into the science and art of skin, hair, and nails, while practicing hairstyling, braiding, make-up, and skincare. Campers will incorporate worldwide beauty in a fashion show by representing a country of choice.

Catch a criminal

This camp is a “learn-see-do” adventure that focuses on exploring through classroom discussions/demonstrations and hands-on experience. Explore mock crime scene investigations, processing fingerprints, footprints, and trace evidence such as hair and fibers. Campers will experience the roles of the police, courts, and corrections.

“Give Nursing a Shot!”

This camp will provide information and hands-on activities to introduce core concepts of nursing in health and healthcare delivery. Campers will explore a variety of careers that nurses play in health care fields. Topics include basic nursing skills, infection control, simulation lab, role of the nurse in community settings, health informatics, burns and wounds, and CPR.

Build Dreams into Reality with Mechatronics

Explore the world of Mechatronics! This hands-on camp includes activities involving motors and controls, belt drives, chain drives, teamwork, hydraulics, pneumatics, basic electrical, and rigging. The instructor will discuss career opportunities in this field!

Exploring Health Careers

Explore careers in the health or medical field such as nursing, nurse aide, medical assisting, phlebotomy, and more! Campers will be introduced to various careers through demonstrations, hands-on experiences, role play, and visits to local medical facilities.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Camp

Engage in discussions and hands–on activities designed to provide the ability to help others in their greatest time of need. Learn life saving measures such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), treating for shock, stopping bleeding, positioning person for better airway usage, immobilizing fractures, and more!
